Samrat Software Solutions ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Smart Rent Manager mobile application. This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our service.
1. Data Ownership & Storage
IMPORTANT: Your primary rental data is stored locally on your device. For users with an active subscription or trial, we also provide Samrat Cloud Sync to synchronize your text-based records across devices.
2. Cloud Backups (Google Drive)
Smart Rent Manager provides a local backup feature to protect your data. These backups are:
- Stored only on your personal Google Drive: We do not have access to these full database backups (.srm files) on our own servers.
- Encrypted: Backups are protected with your App PIN/Password for maximum security.
3. Samrat Cloud Sync (End-to-End Encryption)
DATA SECURITY: All synchronized data is protected using bank-level AES-256 End-to-End Encryption (E2EE).
For synchronization purposes, the app securely transmits your text data (Tenant names, Room details, Rent history) to our secure Firestore database. This data is:
- Encrypted on Device: Your information is unreadable "garbage text" when stored on our cloud servers. Only your authenticated app instance can decrypt it.
- Linked to your UID: Access is restricted only to your verified Google/Firebase account.
- Text-Only: We do not sync large documents or PDFs to the cloud sync service to preserve privacy and bandwidth.
4. Information We Collect
We only collect minimal information for account verification and app activation:
- Basic Profile: Name, Email, and Mobile Number (used for your Owner Profile).
- Authentication: We use Google Sign-In to verify your identity.
4. How We Use Data
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is used solely to provide the rental management features within the app.
5. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures. Since your main database is local, your physical device security and Google Account security are the primary layers of protection.
